K9-implant Solutions Project Case

Visual Brand

K9-implant Solutions Inc.

K9-implant Solutions Inc.

K9-implants Solutions required a assortment of branded marketing materials including photography, website design, package design and a visual identity.

Overview

Dental needs for small animals often parallel those for humans. And K9 Implant Solution believes implant dentistry can provide the same benefits and advantages to small animals as found for humans. K9 Implant Solutions believe in and promote improved dental options for small animals through our products which have been designed with the small animal in mind and our quality education to Veterinary dentists. Through continuous improvement they seek solutions to problems in animal dentistry.

K9-Implants are the first and only dental implant system, in the world, designed for cats and dogs. Made from same medical grade titanium used in implants for humans and is FDA, Health Canada and CE approved. I produced and directed this video to help introduces the K9-Implant Solutions Company and demonstrate how the dental implant is installed. These dental implants are specifically created for small animals and installed by a dental professional and/or veterinarian.

Therefore, I felt it was important for their brand to appeal to both veterinarians, dentist and even the general public.

Design projects include:

  • Identity Branding
  • Company Slogan
  • Logo Design
  • Website Design
  • Video Productions
  • Digital Marketing
  • Graphic Designs
  • Print Media
  • Trade show Graphics
  • Marketing Consulting
BROCHURE
The company brochure design has a clean, sterile feel without seeming cold and stark. The shade variations using the company colors evoke a feeling of dental professionalism, informative, yet warm and user friendly. I incorporated surgery photos into the design but put the focus on the product and animals. The purpose of the brochure is to introduce the company and it's product line, while educating.
WEBSITE
The company website was the first on my list in creating the branding package. The client supplied dental/medical resources along with confusing materials. I combine and organized the content and develop a user friendly navigation that would lead the viewer to specific areas of interest that were most prevalent to the target markets.
Dental Implants for Small Animals - Book Design (214 pages)
The Dental Implants for Small Animals is a comprehensive, well illustrated, 200+ page book specifically designed toward the placement and restoration of dental implants and bone grafts into small animals. This manual was mainly authored by Dr. Harold Bergman, DDS, DiplOS&A, MScD(Path) with much technical and clinical input about small animals from Dr. James Anthony, BSc(Agr.), DVM, MRCVS, FAVD. DipAVDC, DipEVDC, PAg and Dr. Rocco Mele, DVM and designed by Carrie Kuehn, Ck2design. Between them, they have over 70 years of clinical experience in the placement and restoration of dental implants in humans and small animals. The book has been submitted for RACE approvals.

Design wise, the book's layout was a huge undertaking due to the assorted avenues of content and information supplied and required for the book. Being a text heavy project with detail oriented information I felt the design of this book needed to flow and be easy on the eyes as well as appear user friendly, yet obviously educational.

The design of the book, Dental Implants for Small Animals, is both balanced and creatively directive.
